Imagine building up incoming monthly cash flows that surpass all your monthly expenses.
How about being able to retire early because your passive income streams are greater than what you make at your day job?
If you change the way you think about money, this can be your reality.
The best way to build wealth is to let your money work for you, instead of the other way around. That’s why in the long run, how you manage your money has a far greater impact on your net worth than how much you make.
The problem is, the majority of people can’t manage their personal finances because they simply weren’t taught how to in school. Yet, this is one of the most underrated and essential skills needed to succeed financially in life.
Our goal is to teach you financial literacy so that you can reach financial independence: when working becomes a choice rather than a necessity.
Perhaps you’re financially savvy and want to take the time to learn about how to invest, save, and build your money.
However, a quick search reveals that most of the information out there is tailored to American citizens. While many of these resources provide useful information, a lot of it isn’t applicable to Canadians. Lots of talk about 401ks and Roth IRAs, and not enough info on RRSP and TFSA accounts! There are also varying tax laws between the CRA and IRS, which can be confusing and heavily influence investing and financial decisions.
Did I mention that most of the credit cards and savings accounts you search for online are limited to Americans? And that real estate crowdfunding opportunities such as Fundrise are unavailable in Canada? The list goes on and on…
My point is, it’s easy to get confused and feel left out above the border!
That’s why I created this site specifically for Canadians. My goal is to gather the most important and relevant information for you to progress on your journey to financial freedom.
The goal of this blog is to provide, above all else, quality. Every topic that I cover is based off personal experience and carefully researched to ensure that I leave no stone unturned. My goal is to equip you with valuable knowledge about the world of Canadian finance that will directly benefit your future. Rest assured that I make the very best effort to keep the content here updated and accurate, and that I only write about services or products that I truly believe in.
However, the grind to learning isn’t always easy. There are countless reasons people make that prevent them from learning about managing their wealth:
I’m too busy and it’s too time consuming
I have no money to begin with so it doesn’t really matter
It’s too complicated and not worth the effort
It’s too risky and I’ll probably end up losing my money
It doesn’t make a difference because I make x amount of dollars per year at my job already
The time to take action is now. Identify your purpose and demand the success you deserve. A winning mindset is already half the battle. Learning about the world of personal finance is part of the process!
It’s quite surprising to me how many people I’ve encountered that don’t know where to start when it comes to investing their money, or even take it seriously. If you’re just getting started learning about finance and wealth management, then this blog is for you. But anybody can benefit from this blog — it’s never too late to start investing!
Success is your duty, obligation, and responsibility.
